- Communicate clearly and respond to messages promptly
- Honor your commitments to attend or host meetups
- Respect others' privacy and boundaries
- Welcome newcomers and make them feel included
- Report any concerning behavior or content
- Follow local laws and venue rules at meetups
🚫 Prohibited Behavior
DON'T:
- Harassment: Bullying, intimidation, stalking, or unwanted contact
- Hate Speech: Content that promotes hatred based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other characteristics
- Threats: Threatening violence or harm against anyone
- Inappropriate Content: Posting explicit, obscene, or offensive material
- Deception: Creating fake profiles, impersonating others, or spreading misinformation
- Spam: Sending unsolicited messages, advertising, or promotions
- Illegal Activities: Using the platform for illegal purposes
- Privacy Violations: Sharing others' personal information without consent
- Exploitation: Taking advantage of or manipulating other users
📍 Meetup Guidelines
For Hosts
- Provide accurate and complete meetup information
- Choose safe, appropriate venues
- Communicate any changes to attendees promptly
- Be welcoming and inclusive to all attendees
- Handle attendee requests fairly and respectfully
- Take responsibility for the meetup atmosphere
For Attendees
- RSVP honestly and update if plans change
- Arrive on time or notify the host if running late
- Respect the meetup's purpose and guidelines
- Be open to meeting new people
- Leave the venue as you found it
⚠️ Safety First
When meeting people in person for the first time:
- Meet in public places
- Tell someone you trust where you're going
- Trust your instincts—leave if uncomfortable
- Don't share sensitive personal information
- Arrange your own transportation
🚨 Reporting
If you encounter behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it immediately:
- In-App: Use the report button on any profile or meetup
- Email: safety@spontydex.com
When reporting, please include:
- What happened and when
- Who was involved
- Any relevant screenshots or evidence
All reports are reviewed by our team and kept confidential. We take every report seriously.
⚖️ Enforcement
Violations of these guidelines may result in:
- Warning: For minor or first-time violations
- Temporary Suspension: For repeated or moderate violations
- Permanent Ban: For severe violations or continued misconduct
- Legal Action: For illegal activities or serious threats
We review each case individually and consider the context and severity of the violation.
💬 Appeals
If you believe your account was suspended or terminated in error, you may appeal by contacting us at appeals@spontydex.com. Please include:
- Your username
- The date of the action
- Why you believe the decision should be reconsidered
We will review your appeal and respond within 7 business days.
